CANDIDATE BIOS
Lynne Goldin
I was born in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Hunter College in NYC with BA degree, majoring in fine arts and art history. I eventually moved into a loft in the SoHo neighborhood of NYC, at that time a burgeoning area for artists, and worked at a variety of different jobs while pursuing an elusive career as an artist. Eventually, I left that life behind and moved with my young family to the leafy suburb of Montclair, NJ. For the last 20 years or so of my professional career I was a project manager for a company that developed automated document publishing tools for the financial industry.
However, my passion has always been in the area of visual and performing arts.
My husband and I retired to Rosarito almost 6 years ago and shortly after landing here I began volunteering at the Cruz Roja Thrift store. I'm one of the administrators of our local Out to Lunch Bunch and continue to flex my creative muscles, working in mixed media and dabbling in a new medium for me, ceramics. I enjoy long walks on the beach and sitting in my backyard with a good book. In fact, there’s always a book (or these days a Kindle) on my bedside table. Reading before I turn the lights out is a must for me!
I have been a member of Friends of the Library for the past two years, and in 2023 our home was on both the Holiday Tour and the Garden Tour.
